I finally got the foot pedal for my Singer 500A and now I can't figure out how to get the darn thing threaded
#1
I was so excited to come home yesterday and open the package holding the power cord / foot pedal. Finally I got to try it out! I downloaded a manual and we were off...
except that I just cannnnnnooootttttt get the top thread tension right or I'm threading it wrong.
Anyone have any experience with a Rocketeer?

KellyK,
Open the door on the left of the machine. The threading diagram is inside on the door. I leave the top thread tension on 5 inside the door and 5 on the knob on the outside knob. The straight line on the knob should be in the center.

Kelly you need:
A spool of thread
A tall glass with several cubes of ice
Equal parts of Gin ,Rum, Triple Sec, Vodka
Half part of Bourbon
Top off with sweet ans sour mix and a splash of cola to change color.
Then you open the faceplate and follow the thread route.

I found this site after I got my 500A. It gives a pic tutorial of how to thread your machine. I read the instructions under the top, but pics always help me.

It worked!!! But I really didn't like the way the thread tasted with the sweet and sour mix and my stomach is still protesting.
Lol
I was finally able to get her going once I saw the diagram. I love how smooth it is, so much nicer than my newer model singer. I have a lot more speed control as well! Thank you so much, I didn't even know the diagram was there, Calico! It really helped.
