I wanted to upgrade my Elna 7200 to a reconditioned 7300 but
They are like hens teeth to get hold of because they are such wonderful machines so............. talking my sewing machine dealer, David Drummond in Edinburgh where I bought my Elna 7200 he persuaded me to buy the new Elna and sell my old one privately but did me a fantastic interest free deal so I am getting delivery of the one http://www.schillersontheweb.com/pro...tm?id=t1r3b80j on Tuesday, this link is not from his site as he doesn't do the Internet just personal contact. Am I excited you bet your bottom dollar I am
The only problem is I think I am going to have some problems sleeping in the next week or so

We have a second hand store in town that only sells high class items. They sell sewing machines. They sell Elna's. They have this green one that runs excellently that I want so much! And her prices are so low. It's under $150. I go in there every month and check and make sure it's still there. I don't need another machine is the problem. I have 3. I bought a Singer 99K for $100 and paid $79 to have it serviced and I don't want it and I think if I buy the Elna I'll probably feel the same way. But that Elna is so pretty. But I have no room for her. But every time I look at her, I want to get out my checkbook and buy her. She looks brand spanking new!! The shop has about 10 old sewing machines that have been reconditioned. All run perfectly! She only sells machines that are in perfect shape and come with attachments and manuals and bobbins and extra feet.
I'm so happy for you!!! You might have to take a Tylenol PM to get to sleep the night before you get your new one! Congratulations!!! They have such a good reputation! Too bad you can't keep your old one!

My fur-baby is a rescued doggy from Glasgow, she was dumped with her siblings in a cardboard bod on a street in Glasgow, I was fortunate to get the last of the litter, but because of UK laws she had to be kept in the kennels for a week as the owner hadn't signed her handed then over so cos of that she is really clingy an does not be left on her own which makes her a wonderful companion.
The best thing of all she is a wonderful quilt tester so she will get as much as me in using my new machine, she is very adept at putting her paw on the foot pedal if she is ignored for too long!

She sure is a cutie pie but you have to watch her near the sewing machines because if she is ignored for too long she dances on the foot pedals. She first did it at my first Patchwork class and frightened the life out of us when the machines started running on their own, so we got in the habit of turning them off when not using them.

It's arrived and I am thrilled to bits, there is not an awful lot of difference to my old Elna but the little differences are great, I just love the dual-feed/walking foot so much less cumberson than the old type, now to play

I'm very happy for you. It's so exciting to get a new toy. Last yr I bought the Ruby and this yr I traded her (loved her) for the new Diamond Deluxe. I've only had time to do a few embroidery items for Halloween but love it. I just downloaded designs to start tonight for Christmas presents. Enjoy your toy. I'm glad I didn't have to wait. I was going to wait a week due to my schedule then the LQS called and they had my Ruby sold and wanted me to bring her in early. This store is the greatest and I couldn't refuse them. Out of all the stores I go to; quilting, etc, they are the best and I always get treated great when I go there. There isn't too much I wouldn't do for anyone in that store. I hope you get lots of use out of your new toy.
