ideas for making a quick baby quilt

The 10 minute block, you can see it on youtube. It literally only take 10 minutes or less. If you have a layer cake quilt fabric (40 10 inch sqaures) It's even faster. It takes only 5 10 inch squares to make one. If you made 4 10 minute blocks it would give you a 40 x 40 baby quilt and you can complete the top in under an hour. Amazing.

Check Connectingthreads.com under Free Patterns. There is one called Quilt as You Patch Coins Quilt. I think that it could be done in simple peicing. Looks like it would go fast. Good Luck

I have a favorite pattern for a quick quilt. Buy 1 3/4 yard of a print pick 2 complimentry fabric [ 1 yard each ] and 5/8 fabric for binding. This quilt turns out to be 50x65, so you can make it smaller. Cut the print fabric 8.5 in and the other 2 colors 4.5 in sew these 2 fabrics in strips and make 4 patches with them. then alternate the blocks with 8.5 and the four patches [5 across and 7 down] with no borders. I quilt and X throught the four patches bind and you are done. I hops you can understand my directions other wise email me at [email protected]
