Actually I cut an opening the same size of the treadles inside dimensions and I have wood "plates" that I can put in the hole so I can run different machines from Singers ,Whites, Kenmores, and even some industrials.
But the hole was cut with a Jig Saw and I used a drill motor to make the rounded corners before it was cut out.

I can not do clutter I have to have it spotless before I start a project and I am always cleaning up as I go so there is really never any clutter around.

So I had some paint left over from the restoration of our home (my wife didn't like the color and I had 3 gallons of it) and I used it for the studio. At first it was kinda overwhelming but I really like it!!!

I saw the studio before and liked it...it seems brighter now. I could really get some serious sewing done in there!
