Which kind of batting do I use?

I have used an iron on batting (cotton) for runners that I've made. It is a little thinner than regular batting. You'll probably have to ask for it at your quilt store. I really like using it!

For my practice items like table runners, cat quilts. I use the batting from Walmart. It is what it is...very thin...for my laptop quilts and for future quilts I will use Warm and Natural. Joanne Fabric has queen size in a bag and with the 50 percent off coupon its only 12.00.

i've used just a middle layer of muslin (prewashed) just to help keep any shadow/seams from showing through, but to keep it flat. i've also done them with warm & natural and with poly low-loft. i haven't had much luck with fusable batting but lots of people like them.
