As I have gotten older I find I don't see as well. haa. I have a quilt to finish that has a black binding. I really really dread trying to sew that.
Does anyone know if the "Ott Light" helps with that, or is it mainly to see color better. I was looking at them today in Michaels but it only says that it's daylight, light to see color. Doesn't mention brighter light.
What would you guys recommend if the Ott Light isn't what I need?????
Thanks, Linda

I can't tell much difference in my OTT light and the new CFL daylight bulbs. Way back when, OTT lights had the market on the daylight bulbs but now you can find bulbs from almost any manufacturer.

I just got an Ott light and it definitely is brighter than my other lighting.
However I also got one of those 'miners light' headband type lights for a much lower price than the Ott light and it works well also as it can be focused precisely on the needle I'm trying to thread. I like wearing it around my neck much better than on my forehead.

OTT lights are the best. I received my first floor model one back in the '90s and have picked up desk models here and there at yard sales over the years. I recently found one at Good Will for $5! Can't beat that!
