Log Cabin Flowers need some help..
#1
So I have a wonderful book that has a great pattern for a log cabin flower. I of course am going to a quilting group tomorrow and they are teaching the log cabin but I want to be different and make the flower. I cannot for the life of me find this book. And I need it so that I can read over the pattern, convince myself that it is way to hard and put the book away. Take the book out after reviewing the basic log cabin pattern and realize that it is not THAT hard, then I come to the board see some beautiful quilts get up the nerve to open the book again and realize OH my gosh the strips are 2 different sizes ok now I will NEVER be able to handle 2 different size pieces put the book away... OK you get it right?? So my help comes in the form of the "You can do it it is not that hard!" I guess I just want to know is it htat hard to do a log cabin with 2 different sizes? I just love this pattern and I have the hard part done I cut all the material. Thank you for your help :)

It's all straight lines. If you pre-cut your strips and keep them organized by length, width & color--it will be almost brainless. I often take log cabin paper foundations & scraps cut into strips with my old mechanical sewing machine when we go on vacation or I have to work out of town. Log Cabin is also easily sewn when you're between projects but just need to sew!
