SID looks fine too but I just love the curves that 'fancy' quilting adds.

Welcome to the board! Stitch in the ditch is good, but I personally like to put Baptist Fans on my log cabins. Old time block pattern with old time quilting design. There are endless ways to quilt so it really is what you prefer and like the best :)

Are you machine or hand quilting? Going across seams can be challenging when hand quilting. I hand quilted this one. (Is there any other way to quilt? Ha!) In the colored part of the log cabin I quilted in the ditch. In the white part where the "logs" didn't really show I quilted to echo the star shape. In the trees I also did angled lines. I like variety that brings out the pattern of the piecing.
