Looking for a train quilt pattern
#1
I have a friend that is looking for a pattern. Here is what she posted. Thought maybe one of you long time quilters may be aware of this pattern.
Ladies,
I'm in need of some help.....most of you are too young, but I'm asking any way. In the early 80's I make some children's quilts. It was a train/railroad station applique. It was green background, with various shades of green for mountains and free hand cut tree shapes, clouds, station of red w/yellow windows and black roof with smoke embroirdered coming out the chimney. It had black/white striped material cut appliqued on 4 sides. It was trimmed witht he same black/white cut in small squares which were folded into triangles and sewn between the front and backing.
I got this pattern from a craft magazine that might have been published in late 70's. I kept the pattern for years, but when we moved, since we were down sizing, I got rid of most of my patterns and craft books!
If anyone has any ideas let me know.....my daughter in law would like to make one for her grandson....due this next spring.
