I've discovered paper piecing! now i know some people have a love/hate relationship with it, but i love it! yes, it takes longer and could get messy picking out all that paper, but the results are amazing!

I LOVE to paper. I even enjoy removing the paper. Go to an office store and get the thin paper not the regular copy paper. I like to sit on my bed with the small trash can, my cats and the tv and I just have fun. There are so many sites you can get free patterns, have fun

Oh ... I know exactly how you feel. I can make blocks I never ever would have thought of doing. It was life changing .. that first block that had 120 pieces for a 12 inch block.... and it came out perfect. I think I just stared at it for week .. just could not believe I really did it.
Have you gotten a copy of Carol Doaks 50 fabulous paper pieced stars? It is the most used book in my personal library. HIGHLY recommend it.

Yes, there is a cost associated with this.
It is more expensive than newsprint.
But the ease in removing it when I'm done, FOR ME, is more than worth the price.
There's also the freezer paper technique - nothing to remove.
Or the Fun-sible interfacing that's printable but you leave it attached - again, nothing to remove.
There are so many different techniques and options under the paper-piecing umbrella - once you get comfortable with the basics, start exploring the other methods.
Not all are usable on every design.
Some are specific to certain kinds of blocks.
But they're ALL great to have in your toolbox. ;-)
