I'm sure topic has been address in the past but, I'm new to quilting and am looking for someone to machine quilt my first attempt at a quilt. How do I go about getting someone to machine quilt it for me? What are the usual prices ranges, turn around time and any other helpful info all you experts can provide. I'm told that most long arm quilters are busy with Christmas orders. But maybe not so much for other machine quilters??? I appreciate all comments.

Have a look at the top of the Classifieds page

There is a whole list of machine quilters here on the board, maybe try sending someone in your area a PM

check with your local quilt shops, fabric stores- they usually have names of the quilters in your area- also prices range greatly- along with skills- specialties and styles. many long arm quilters work (long distance) so look at quilter's work- send pm's to one's who do the style of quilting you like- you think would work on your quilt- and find out what their policies are- and their prices. as for turn around time- that can vary from a couple weeks to months and months- again- it is as varied as we all are. contact a number of quilters== the lqs probably has a couple of them that they either use- or tend to refer their customers to- if they are not doing it themselves- which they could be...
