Magnetic curtain rod
#1
I just had a thought, and I'm sure I'm not the first one to have it, but to use a magnetic curtain rod to hang wallhangings on your outside door for the different seasons. It would be fun to make a few, and change them up. Or even to just hang your wreath from it. No screw holes, and you can get rid of it when no longer needed. I guess I got up too early. LOL

I have an over-sized OLD wooden front door on my 200 year old cottage. It's cold in here in the fall/winter months!!
This year I'm going to put up a regular curtain rod and hang a nearly full-sized quilt on the back of the door for insulation and to brighten my small dark living room. Don't know why I didn't think of it before!

You know...that would also be a good idea for my sliding glass door...just on one side so not to block the door.

Thanks for all the ideas rolling around in my head! HI have a huge opening between LR and DR, been wishing for doors but love the idea of old fashioned tapestry style quilted drapes to keep in the fireplace heat...
