I've been waiting all week to have enough time to try a new star pattern. Got my fabric all washed & starched. There are only 3 pattern pieces, however, in my excitement i cut 2 "A"s, 1"C" and no "B". Also the "C" is the background, and I cut that out of one of the other fabrics. Sheesh. I have extra fabric, so it's not a complete disaster.
So I thought I'd just get online and look at other people's successes for inspiration before I recut. After double checking my pattern piece placement! :XD:

Well, it wasn't a complete waste. I cut the missing pieces out of some scraps I had and put the block together. I worked out the piecing sequence and which way I want to press the seams. Lemons/Lemonade.

Yep. Once upon a time I was making the Patchy Heart pattern from QuilterCache.com and instead of cutting the colored patches at 2" I cut them at 1 and 7/8". Don't know what I was thinking. It worked but sometimes you wonder what is going through your mind. At least I cut them all the same size!
