Mini Travel Iron Tote, anyone know of a free pattern???
I bought a gorgeous vintage mini travel iron... and it gets HOT!!! I want to make a heat resistant travel tote for it. I did find one at Nancy's Notions but was hopping to find a free pattern. Does anyone have a link to their favorite???
TIA

I looked till I found a cookie tin that was big enough for my iron to sit in... it is not deep enough to put a lid on but i just put a couple of old hot pads under the tin, then drew around and added a half inch for seams... put cute 'sewing' themed fabric as the outside 'drawstring' bag... no matter how hot it gets, it's fine, the hotpads protect the cover from the bottom of the tin, when hot, and the bag protects the whole thing from dust... the tin is oval but that was just a fluke so hunt in those thrift stores... you will find a tin that is big enough. Mine is still roomy enough for the hot 'end' of my mini iron as it unplugs from the handle...
