Minkee help
#1
I would love to back my new (due late June) granddaughter's quilt with minkee. I've heard it's a bear to work with, stretches, etc. Have you worked with minkee and are there any "special" rules I should know about before undertaking this?

I back my baby quilts with it all the time, I pin well, use a walking foot, and do straight lines. It is so soft, the kids love it
Congrats on the new grand baby, I just had a new DGS two hours ago, I can't wait to meet him. They live a long ways away so tomorrow we will drive.

I have done two baby quilts using Minkee or a Minkee look alike. My advice is to buy the best quality that you can afford. The first one I made using a more expensive brand was so much easier to work with. I quilted it with spirals and circles to go with the polkadot fabric on the front. The second one was from a lower priced store and was very hard to work with. It seemed to stretch if I just looked at it! I agree it is so soft and nice. The kids and the moms do love it.
