Monofilament thread for free motion quilting - need some help
Somewhere I heard there is a matte finish (dull) (not shiny) monofilament thread that works well for FMQ. Can anyone help me with some advice as to brands, etc. I have used different brands but haven't found what I'm looking for yet. I only use monofilament threads for wall hangings and other accessories. Won't use it for bed quilts because if an end works through the fabric, it is scratchy beyond belief! Thanks for any help you can provide.

I have tried several, but still prefer YLI nylon monofilament, which is .003mm.
Superior has a matte finish polyester thread (MonoPoly, .004mm), but to my eye the polyester threads show up more. Here is a link to Superior's thread:

My tests were for invisible machine applique. I did not test on FMQ because I never use it that way. Might be worth trying out the Superior thread for FMQ to see if it delivers the look you want.
