Name this quilt pattern
Saw these 2 quilts in an antique store today. They were both well made but the one with the muslin background I have never seen before. It was labeled as a "basket" quilt. Truthfully when I first saw it laying on a table the "baskets" were upsidedown and looked like "rings" (as in for your finger). Any further name . . .?

I did a search for Dresden Basket Quilt blocks and found a couple examples of the top quilt so Mt guess is that is what it was called. I have been thinking about working on a Dresden quilt soon so this caught my eye. Dont care for the handle but baskets are perking to the top of my Dresden Project List. Thanks for posting the pics.

The basket pattern is in "Applique Quilt Revival, updated patterns from the '30s", 2008, by Nancy Mahoney. She identified it as "Colonial Scrap Baskets" by Alice Brooks. I think I've also seen it in a 1970s quilting magazine.

Nope didn't buy them. Money is tight, DH is losing his job as of July 1 so I was only looking ... and taking pictures! I sent DD#3 the pic of the Dresden Baskets and she thought it looked like a "ring pop"! Now that she mentioned it, it does.
