Great idea. Is the base pretty sturdy? I'd love to get one, but my machine is pretty heavy. The only other bags that fit mine are the Tutto for about $169.

I have a 20 year old Bernina i carry in that bag. It is sturdy because it is made to carry tools.
    Thick canvas.

Viking Sapphire 830. When I take it somewhere, I use a luggage cart and bungie cord to secure it (which isn't as secure as I'd like).

I have a older Bernina and it is 12" tall and they say the bag is only 10" deep. Wow, that is a great price. Thank you for the information I will deep it in mind.

The dimensions on the website are confusing. I think what they mean is the base is 20" x 10" and the height 18" because it looks taller than the smaller dimension of the base.
