This one uses charm squares. You could sub in regular fabric strips.

This link has pics, but she does give cutting measurements - the center blocks are 5", the outside strips are 2.5". Then just make blocks until your quilt is the size you want.

The directions for that exact quilt are here. To make it queen size, just keep adding blocks/rows.
