The bigger one was made in USA is dated 1851-1951 AK469484
The little one was made in Canada EM733376 there are other #'s like 33681 on the bottom, 99K, RFJ58 It has a leather like case that has a little key that you open it with?

The easiest way to distinguish a featherweight for me is if the extended bed of the machine folds up, and nearly touches the top of the machine. (The really short bed that folds up is another model)

O, ok. I haven't seen these. They are at my parents house. They are telling me over the phone. LOL
Does anyone know anything about either of these machines? Would love to hear. Thanks for your help so far. They have another one but it's also in a cabinet and it was my stepdad's great grandmother's or grandmothers-he's 66! So, I can't wait to look up about it. :)

A treadle is a sewing machine that's mounted in a cabinet with a foot pedal that you manually pump.
I'll try to find a photo. Here is a photo of my treadle. It is a model 27. If you need help indentifying the model of machine you have, you can use this website (http://www.sandman-collectibles.com/...achines.htm#14) to help you figure it out.
