years ago before the computer age there was a pattern for a 3d Christmas tree. the best I can describe it is it looked sort of like the trees that were made with a magazine where you folded the pages and it became a tree and then you painted it. This was fabric and somehow it was quilted and each section sewed together to form a standing tree. I am probably not describing it correctly. I googled quilted christmas tree and what I want is not coming up. if anyone has a pattern or knows what I am talking about to even give me a name of it so I could google it I would be most thankful.

oh long ago my girlfriend gave me one and i made one myself after that. out of fabric. about as tall as my lower arm to my fingers. I thought i had a pic in my photobucket albums but evidently not.
seems like i drew myself a pattern for one section which is made over and over.
my brain is fuzzy on how to put them together. individually if i remember right. perhaps someone will know or find a photo. good luck. i bring mine to the office with a bead garland draped over it. the ends of the branches have a ribbon bow sewn to them also.
Ah, there you go. someone put a pic in.
just found this online- -
"I found the stuffed tree pattern! While pattern shopping yesterday, I remembered that someone on this forum was looking for the stuffed Christmas Tree pattern. I found it in the holiday McCalls pattern book: M5778. I have a really old version of this and still like to make them now and then. Not sure where you're located, but McCall's patterns are 99 cents this week."
also this
"McCALL'S CRAFTS (CHRISTMAS TREE CENTERPIECE) and you stuff it.
I think the pattern # was 7772 but, I am not sure."

A friend gave me a box of fabrics a few years ago, including that panel.
This year I made individual pillows out of the panel by backing the
tree with batting and then putting green fleece on the back and stuffing
the tree. It is perfect for embellishing with all of the little ornaments
that they make for those little artificial trees, or just by doing beading
on the trees. I'm having a ball with the beading.
