Hi Nemosmom! if you have a dry-erase board, practice a design on that first, then get a practice piece of fabric(top, batting, backing) and practice, practice..seriously its just a matter of practicing and most importantly relaxing while your working. Hope this helps!!!

The key is to relax and do it. My quilting teacher suggested that I make (and quilt) a stack of potolders first. It worked.
