new enbroidery machine, help?
Hi, My old Espree embroidery machine just hatched. So now I am looking to get a replacement. I am on a limited budget so cannot get anything over $300 which limits my choices. Anyone have any suggestions on what is best? Need some help here!

With that budget in mind I would check out local dealers for used machines. Dealers take them in on trade-up's all the time, clean them and make any necessary repairs, then resell them, usually with a limited warranty. You can get a lot more bang-for-the-buck if you get a used machine from a reputable dealer.

I fully agree with DogHouseMom. LQS/sewing machine dealers often have used machines that have been fully checked and oiled, etc. They may also offer time payments. Many quilters do 'trade up' when able.
Also, you might ask at your quilting group. You never know who has a good machine they are willing to sell.
While I haven't looked, there might be something on the QB.
Good luck.
