I just read a post about making quilted postcards. In the post there was a reference to a product called Temtex. I am not familiar with this product and would like to know what it is and where can I purchase it. I did try to find information about in using the SEARCH function but was unable to locate anything.
Thanks, Betty

I have purchased Timtex at a local quilt store. It is stiff and works well cut to fit as a bottom stabilizer in a purse or bag. I cover it with a "pillowcase" of the same fabric as the bag inside.
Haven't heard of using it for cards, but imagine it will work.
I will warn you - if you buy some, shop around. It is pricy at the LQS here, but perhaps can be found for less on line.
Try Timtex, not Temtex :+) if you do a web search.
BTW, I now buy plastic canvas for crafts suggesting Timtex and cut it to fit the bags - much less expensive and works just fine in purses.

timtex is the same stuff in the brims of baseball caps. it is washable- does not shrink- is sewable (easy to sew) you can press it- i use it alot- with fusable's for fabric bowls- buckets- & baskets. purse inserts, and lots of postcards.
it can be purchased in packages, by the yard or by the bolt. is 18" wide. if you search timtex you will find lots of places that carry it.
