Pfaff 7550
Hi There Everyone!
This is my first visit to this forum! I am considering purchasing a gently used Pfaff 7550. The asking price is $800. Cdn. Wondering what others think of both the purchase of an older machine (although in excellent condition) and the price?
Thanks

Seems high to me. I would think more along the lines of $500. since it is so old and...YOU CANNOT GET PARTS FOR IT!!! They used to be made in Germany but no longer are...yes, they were made better, but the only way to get parts is by canabolizing another machine. Same is true for the 1473 and the 1475. If you buy it, plan on letting it die a natural death.

The last time I took my 7550 in for repair, the part it needed was cannibalized from another machine. He told me that when the main board goes the machine is toast!! There are no parts and I am sad, I love my machine!!!
