All of my scissors are Gingher brand. Even my snips by the machine. Love this brand. It is true they are expensive, but in my opinion, a value when they work right and last a lifetime if you care for them properly.

All that being said, I do have a three piece set of Red Dot Mundial scissors that work really well after years of use I bought at Hancock Fabrics years ago. The shears work the best of any of my scissors on batting.

Most of my scissors are Fiskars, but I do have several pairs of Ginghers; but seldom use them; the are just too stiff for me. My favorite pair of pinking shears are a pair my cousin gave me from the clothing company where she worked.

Unless these are truly dull, have you tried putting sewing machine oil on both the cutting surfaces and the hinge to see if that helps what you have? Pinking shears don't get a lot of use so it may be that a little oil could give those a boost. Worth a try before investing?? It seems to me that most pinking shears are pretty tight in order for them to work well so a little oil may be of help.

I have the Wiss pickers that i bought almost 40 years ago. Still work great. And i love Ginger’s-I just dont have pinking in them.

I do have a rotary scalloped blade that i use quite a bit.

Get a pinking blade for your rotary cutter. Try Hobby Lobby or maybe JAF with a coupon.
