Problems with my Bernina Embroidery Thread
When I am stitching out a design on my Bernina 730 the top thread has the annoying habit of getting caught round the pin which holds the reel in place - thus resulting in a broken needle. I have tried putting the thread in both the vertical and horizontal positions, but still it comes off unevenly and the spare thread gets caught. These reels are amost full and this may have something to do with it. Has anybody else found this to be a problem?

I use a thread stand like this http://www.superiorthreads.com/shop/...ndcone-holder/ with mine most of the time for cross-wound spools. It just seems to feed a little more smoothly.

a thread net helps- they are available in thread sections of stores like joannes; many on-line shops - like Clotilde's, or Nancy's Notions- thread companies like Superior Threads, Atlanta Thread Company, YLI, Sulky
the slippery threads have the most problems with this- and generally nets are recommended with the threads- such as rayons, metalics and silks.
