Question about batting....
#1
In packing things up for our move I was cleaning out a cubby hole under the eaves and I came upon 2 brand new bags of batting. Probably been there 10 years. It is poly-fil, ultra loft batting by fairfield, 100% polyester. I no longer use polyester batting for big quilts, so my question is, "What can I use this batting for"?
On the package it said you could use for wrapping water heaters and pipes!!! LOL! Don't need that either! It does say it is good for tied quilts, but any I finish will be quilted by a long armer. Suggestions please.
THANKS!

It wouldn't be too fluffly for a tablerunners? I have used flannel for tablerunners and placemats, so they will lay flat.
I too use the warm and natural now that I know better - think I bought this stuff when I first started 10 years ago and then realized the error of my way. Actually don't even remember buying it.
I will try it for a wall hanging though. Thanks, Ninnie.

Beachlady, you could always donate it to a charity group! Mountainquilter here on the board makes quilts for foster kids and there are others her also! Just a thought, don't know what it would cost to mail it over here.

I use it for a little extra poof on some of my embroidery and you can place pieces of it in areas of a quilt where you want something to stand out more, it is like a "mock" trapunto

A friend just gave me two huge bags of the same stuff. She also gave me decor fabric so I am using that to make some pillows to use with the "stuffing." We'll see how long it takes to get rid of these bags. I may call the Guild!
