Quilt Basting a la Sharon Schamber
#1
Does anyone baste a quilt using the Sharon Schamber method? I bought the boards at Home Depot and the milliners needles too. Just wondering who uses this method and what you think.

I used it with the last quilt I did. I loved the method. The only problem was that I didn't have a large enough table on hand so I ended up not using the boards that time. She did refresh my memory re using that herringbone stitch to baste it. I'm going to use her method from now on!

I used to hand baste by taping to the hardwood floor in my sewing room. It was OK, but hard on these old bones!! :-) Then I got my quilting frame setup, so that solved that problem. I have seen Sharon's method done, and it seems to work great for most people who try it.
