Quilt border advice
Know this is in wrong section, can't post on main.
I'm almost ready to attach my seminole border. I would normally measure through the center of quilt and use that measurement to cut my border. I'm thinking this to death (sigh), will this work, how do I deal with the corners.

I am not much help because I give myself a cheater strip when planning a intricate border. A cheater strip is a plain border. I decide on how wide to make it between my quilt and the pieced border after laying it out. If I need a little more space I make the strip wider. A little less space, I trim it down. My quilt, my rules.

With my flying geese, I used cornerstones in the corners, well, I meant to, at least. Two didn't make it so the geese sort of collide. With my braided border, I used a dark strip to separate the braids at the corners. Mitering wouldn't work like you do with piano keys.

Don't quite understand your question. It is absolutely fabulous and I can't find a problem with the borders. Maybe I am looking at something that you have underneath that gorgeous quilt and thinking that the borders are on.
