Quilt Labels
#41
Oh yes!!! Please label your quilts!! I have two quilts, both very old...one from my husband's family and one from my mom's family...but that is all we know!! Momma never knew or never told us who made the beautiful red and white Pineapple quilt that is now a treasure of mine. I would LOVE to know who pieced and/or quilted it... The same with the one we found behind my father-in-law's cedar chest when cleaning everything out after he passed. It is hand pieced and quilted with the tiniest pieces. Now my two-year-old granddaughter LOVES it! Please always put a label on your quilts!!

I label most of my quilts. I make the labels on my embroidery machine, quilt labels are what got me into machine embroidery in the first place. For some family quilts, I even go so far as to embroider the the recipients name in very small letters where it will be covered up by the binding. Started doing this after one of my grand kids quilts was stolen.
