Well, for me, I can't bend over on the floor let alone get back up. So I currently use my dining table. I tape down a section at a time and pin. then I lay it on carpet in the living room to make sure it's straight.
I'm going to make a plywood top for the table, though, so I can do the whole thing at once, or half, at least! Got my plan all ready, just need some good weather to go outside to cut.

  Actually it is a rotary, with a better handle to grip than my quilting rotary cutter. It's a circular saw and I have two band saws. I used to be able to swing them thar things quite well. Now it takes help from another person. But the gal across the street doesn't know how to use her circular saw so I'm going to teach her while cutting my table top and my floating shelves.
