Quilting and Android apps questions
Do you have an Android phone and use any quilting apps?
I am getting a new phone tomorrow that is an Android smartphone
and have heard about many different kinds of "quilting" apps you
can get for them.
What I would like to know is:
1) Do you use any?
2) Which one(s) do you use?
3) Which do you like the best?
4) Which do you like the least?
5) Are they difficult to use?
6) How helpful are they for you?
Thanks in advance for all your input on this topic.
I really hope that I can make good "use" of the Android smartphone
with my desire for quilting/sewing.

I use the JoAnn's app for coupons....you always have the most current coupons right with you. Also use sketch and draw to sketch a block that I might see when out of the house and want to save for later.

yep, the calculator and the JoAnn coupon apps are really the only useful ones for me, but I like to see what's out there every now and then. Both are very easy to use.

I use Red Laser app. It isn't a quilting app but will save you money so you can buy more fabric. It scans the bar code of any product and then lists the price of the item within stores closest to you. I show the lowest price to the store I'm in and it is matched. If not, then I go to the store and buy it for the lower price. There are many apps like Red Laser, try them all and see which one works best in your area.

Thanks all for the tips on the apps to use.
This will be my first experience with a smartphone, and to
be totally honest with as "geeky" and hi-tech as my hubs
and out household is I am surprised it took this long to get
smartphones.
Of course he LOVES to tease me and tells me that I can't
put anything quilting related on my phones because it will
"corrupt" our plan and his phone.
That of course earned him a smack on the arm.

If I pay for a service I make it work for me. I save more then the cost of phone/internet service by the bargains I find on items. I have most of my Christmas gifts bought already and all were 60% or more off the regular price. Amazon has super deals, Brad's Deals, Google Shopper, all save me lots of money when looking to purchase anything. If a store can't match the price, I don't buy from that store.

I use a couple of ones. I use stitcher's helper. It helps with keeping track of current project needs and such. As well as Floss Checklist. It's not only for embroidery floss but there are several quilting threads listed.
Both of these apps are only $.99 each. I really like them.
Good luck
