Quilting frames????
#2
I have the Grace EZ three pole frame. It folds up flat against the wall or under the bed so it doesn't take up any space when not in use. I got it mostly to baste quilts for machine quilting. The best most affordable frame would be the QSnap floor frame. I have one and it's nice for handquilting and takes up no room when you take it apart. Be sure and get the tilt kit. It's worth the extra money.

I have one of the grace frames. They normally run about $300.00 but I see them on sale a lot. I was lucky and got mine for free, as a friend was moving and did not want to move them with her. I love having them.
If you or your dh are handy, you can actually build your own. I remember some my dad had built for my mom, but unlike the grace frames where you can store them out of the way, they take up a lot of space.

I have the QSnap floor frame. I agree it's nice for handquilting and takes up no room when you take it apart. I put it together when I want to quilt, and it fits into a pillow case (I made one ) for storage.

I have a Q-Snap floor frame too. It holds my quilt tightly and does not distort the bias the way a hoop does. I leave it up most of the time ..... except when the grandkids are here. They like to play "Tent" under it.

I have a Hinterberg Easy Build Plus floor frame that I built all by myself (piece of cake!). It folds flat up against the wall and I made it so I can change the width from 4' to 6' to 10' by changing the poles. It's a three rail, requires no basting of the sandwich, and I like it a lot. It was well worth the price. http://www.hinterberg.com/prod-Easy_...ame_Kit-8.aspx
