I live 10 mins from Landstuhl, the hospital in Germany where they bring all the wounded warriors. It's sad for us everytime we hear a helicopter. I have no issue taking quilts there to donate if you can't find anything local. i have an APO so it's like shipping in the states. We just got here in Oct. so were here for 3 years. Thanks!

Quilts of Valor Foundation - Link and details
Hello Ladies! Yes! The Quilts of Valor Foundation is still making Quilts, however help is always needed. As of a few days ago, the many chanpters across this Nation have created and awarded 61,694 QOVs.
The correct link to the national Quilts of Valor Foundation is http://www.QOVF.org . There are many chapters nationally and internationally. Visit the national foundation and click on Local QOV groups to find one near you. A regional coordinator can help match you up with a group too!
The link for the Upper Michigan chapter is correct (http://www.qovf-um.org/ ).
Rachel, you are correct too. The need is great and volunteers are always needed inside the United States and at the many facilities providing care for our service members.
For more information, please visit the Quilts of Valor Foundation or email Marcella Pirner-Cormier- Destinations Coordinator @ [email protected]
Serving to Honor and Comfort our service members and veterans touched by war,
Kathy

Last weekend, Iowa Public Television, had a feature on Quilts of Valor on the fundraising telethaon. It was quite informative. One of their prizes for a certain level of donation was the Quilts of Valor DVD and 3 patterns for quilts that could be made for QOV. Mary Ann Fonz was promoting a program called "Under our Wings" where quilters make a QOV quilt while teaching a newbie how to quilt. Under our Wings is part of the QOV foundation.
