Ready for the New Year!
#1
After a flurry of activity over the last several months, my little sewing room looked like "who did it and ran" (as my daddy would say) So, last night I sat down and went through all my quilting magazines (every one I have gotten from 2001-10), kept a couple dozen with patterns I WILL make some day and filled two good sized boxes with the rest. I then went to Freecycle and offered them to someone else. The lady who got them is a new quilter looking for inspiration. She was ecstatic to get them too!
Then, I spent the better part of the day in my sewing room, straightening, reorganizing, cleaning and vacuuming and I am ready to start sewing in the New Year. Trouble is, it looks so nice and neat in there, I am reluctant to mess it up again. But then, the draw of the fabric is far greater than my will to keep it neat!

so very true! I am embarrassed to show my sewing loft to anybody. I have been cleaning not only sewing but the bug has gotten me in other parts of the house. I do find when the other parts of the house are clean and organized I feel less guilty about being up here on the computer. My DH cannot believe I have hooked into this site. He said you know those chat rooms sure can take up alot of your time! So with that I wish you well. Have a great New Year.
