It is a an easy and fun block to make and can really look different depending on if you set on point or straight set, use sashing or not and also if you decide on multiple strip sets (more than 2 color). If you want to make one, I highly recommend the Creative Grids ruler for it. Makes it a lot easier. Here is one I made: African Queen a spiderweb quilt

This is the same basic pattern with a few more strips, and with some very narrow. It was strip sewn and then cut into wedges, so not a lot of work to do. More work keeping track of where they wall went, and yes, one did get put in upside down and not noticed until after it was quilted and bound!

Those are all gorgeous.
Feline, I just happened to buy that ruler (at 70% off at the LQS retirement sale!) because I believe it's the same one you use for the Crazy Christmas Trees pattern. Maybe it's fate?
