Rectangle Fun Quilt-Along
#1
Over the next couple of weeks I will be sewing a really easy quilt and sharing the process from beginning to end on my blog. Although I am working with a specific size (custom Queen), I have posted the sizes and yardage requirements for 4 other sizes, and will be happy to guide anyone wanting another size if you leave a comment on the blog.
This is the first time ever I have made the same quilt more than once. This is the third time I make this one. Because it is so simple, it is also very versatile, and one quilt can look very different from another by just changing your fabric choices. This is also a very quick quilt to make, and makes an excellent choice for gifts, if you are looking for something in time for Christmas.
I hope you will join me in the fun. I look forward to your tips and suggestions, too!

Angie, I just checked out your website and went through a lot of the information. I loved it!! I did get lost trying to follow along with the cutting, basting and folding of getting quilts ready for quilting, but that is okay. I just needed more time to figure things out in my mind .I loved the hint about the rubbery gripper pad for holding, as I know I wouldn't be comfortable wearing gloves either. I will be checking your site often. And I plan to use your rectangle pattern instructions so will be checking in soon.. Carol

Carol, that post with my machine quilting tips was a very quick overview. I will post many more pictures with this quilt, so I hope the method I use to baste and machine quilt will be clearer with this project.
