Ricky Timms One Seam Flying Geese
Ricky Timms has a slick method using just one seam to make flying geese. The video is on You Tube - what is not shown is how to calculate different sizes. If anyone is familiar with this method I'd love to know how to do this - I have a ton of geese to make with a finished size of 1 3/4 by 3 1/2. Math is not my thing Thanks so much!

I've never done this, but I found this link. http://www.docstoc.com/docs/30766345...e---Ricky-Tims Reading it, I believe the measurements are like this:
Cut your 2 squares the height of your finished block plus 1/2 " - so, 2 1/4" in your case. Cut the rectangle the finished width plus 1/2" - so 4" in your case.
So you need to cut two 2 1/4" squares of your background colour, and one 2 1/4 x 4" rectangle of your goose colour.
