Last night an email came in from a fabulous LQS out in Boise, Idaho called The Cotton Club. I had bought some amazing fabrics from them in the past. Well I'll tell you, when I read it I almost leaped out of my seat and wanted to leave right then for Akron, Ohio! :-D

This is what their email said:

    "Hi Kaleidoscope Lovers Everywhere,

Just in case you can get there, we want you to know about Paula Nadelstern's exhibit in Akron, Ohio - Kaleidoscope Quilt's: The Art of Paula Nadelstern. It runs through October 2nd. For more information, here is a link to the museum: http://www.akronartmuseum.org/exhibitions/ "

Thought you all would like to know this too!

Oh i hope you get to go. I love her quilts but haven't tried one yet. I did buy a few of her luminosity fabrics when they came out but I have never found a project I thought worthy of cutting them up. Isn't that silly? I hope one day to find her book Puzzle Quilts some place dirt cheap.

When Paula had the first show at the American Folk Art museum in 2009, there were also some videos up on their site with Paula taking the viewer through the exhibit.

I couldn't find these on the museum site anymore but remembered that Gloria Hanson had posted them on her blog back then.

So if you can't get to actually see them in person, this will get you closer:

    Enjoy!

The Cotton Club?? I live in Boise and have never heard of the place. I know I don't get around much, but I would love to visit another good fabric store. (Like I need more. HA!)

Hey BJ. It's always like that isn't it? I hardly know all the good places around here either.
Here is the website address and physical address in case you do start to think you might "need" more fabric. :P

Hee hee, No! I do the same thing. Sometimes the fabric is just too pretty and I get like a deer caught in the headlights at the thought of cutting it up.

Sunday Symmetry (made with some of the Luminosity fabrics)

I have a whole bag full of the pink/orange colorway with tons of coordinating fabrics but haven't decided yet what I want to do with them.
