I had one and couldn't get it to cut straight. I prefer my rotary cutter and ruller. I used it once to cut strips for a "toothbrush rug" and that was it. I got it as a gift when they first came out so it was expensive. I sold it about a year ago.

Well, it may have been discussed before, but since I (and others) missed it, I'm glad it was brought up again. I've often wondered too about how useful these would be, so thanks for asking this Maureen.
I don't mind rotary cutting manually, but it seems that my blades dull faster and faster these days and they are pretty pricey. So I was looking to maybe save a bit of money over time and hopefully make my life a little easier in the process. But so far the responses don't seem too favorable for these machines.

SuzanneG, If you are still buying the regular blades for your rotary cutter you need to try the Harbor Freight 'carpet cutter' blades. They fit the 45 mm cutters. Some really like them (me) and others don't---they seem to have a few more 'duds' than the regular blades, but the last time I bought them they were 2.99 a package for 2. Don't ask for rotary blades if you go to the store, ask for the carpet cutter blades. They are usually in the first row of shelves just behind the registers. I have found they are usually just above eye level on one corner of the shelf units. They are also available on their site. Good luck!
