Seam Placement question

Seam Placement question
Hi - it's me, the woman who is always short of fabric for the quilt she is working on. I had to piece my fabric to make it fit. My blocks are a smidge small so I will have to trim. The attached part is 3/4 of an inch. Should I put the full 3/4 on one side so the fabric is trimmed on a solid piece or should I position my fabric so I have to trim a bit off of each end, resulting in an even smaller attached piece?
I'm going to put the blocks with the pieced fabric in the next to last row of blocks because I think people won't notice it as much if I put them on the very top or bottom or on the corners.
Opinions welcome
P.S. Don't fuss at me for being short of fabric all the time. I try - really I do. I think someone steals it.

I would just add it at one end. This happened to me last month when I was finishing a christmas quilt I was about 2" short. I just found clippings in the trash and added them. Some of the pieces had a finished patch of less than half an inch. You really couldn't tell unless you were looking. The print wasn't even that busy.
