Secret Sister??

Ok maybe this has been proposed already, but how about a secret sister thing for 2010?? Everyone who wants a secret sister will let the coordinator know and that person will choose the secret sister for the other. And you will send your secret sister little gifts for B-Days. Anniversary, or holidays. Whatever you choose. Then next Christmas we will all send a Christmas gift with the identity.
Sound like fun??

kwhite I think you may have started something here. I like the idea. I had a SS years ago in one of our churches and it was wonderful.
Only problem I see here, is our SS would be able to see where we live by the postage stamp stamp. And surely the coordinator would not want us to send the stuff to her to have her resend it to our SS. So where does that leave us?
Hope we can figure this out. Would be a great ideaif we can figure it out.

In HS theatre we had locker buddies. We knew who our buddy was, but that didn't make getting a gift any time we had a show any less special. It could be a sort of secret sister. And just because you know the address, doesn't mean you necessarily know who your sister is...

Plus not everyone knows where the others are located . And if you go to another town that is close by it throws off the address. You could use your work address as the return address if it is in another city, like mine
Sounds like fun... even send out fat quarters for different holidays..Valentines Day, Easter, Spring ( ) Thanksgiving , you get what I mean.. not many fat quarters , maybe just a couple if you want ?

We've been doing secret swaps for Valentine's and Easter. Maybe St Pattys was in there too, cannot remember.
I know there is talk of a Secret Santa coming up....still in the work stages on that....have to decide on dates.
I'm not really sure a Secret Sister would work. There are those in Canada and Europe that would be found out immediately just by the postmark. Also, if you send overseas, then you also have the Customs Form that needs to be filled out, so that "outs" the person there.
Just something to think about.

This would be so fun  even if it wasn't a secret! getting to know someone better, someone to chat with and send things back and forth, sounds great I want in when it gets going as I think it will, and yes include the men. "secret friends"? :D
