Are you sure it even has a serpantine stitch? Not seeing one on their website: https://www.bernina.com/en-US/Produc...0-QE#!features
Oh just found this blog, maybe this will help:

The multistitch zig zag which should be #4 right below the straight stitch #1 on the right corner of the top of the 440. It was designed I believe for sewing on elastic but when you enlarge the stitch, you get a nice serpentine line of stitching. I open up my stitch length to just under a 1/8 inch size. Do a few samples until you like the look.

This blogger gives an explanation how she goes about doing the Serpentine
stitch on her Bernina 440. Hope it works for you.

I mark the first straight row with chalk, then decide on far apart I want my rows. I cut a piece of plastic straw to the size I want and slip it on my bar that came with my machine. That bar goes into the little hole on the foot and the screw in the back tightens to keep it in place. This allows the bar's foot to run along the previous first row of stitching so you can do the rest of the rows without measuring. The reason I put the little piece of straw on is if the screw loosens, I now right where the bar should be and I retighten the screw.
i start my first row of stitching in the center of the quilt and stitch out to the right. Once one half is done, I rotate the quilt and stitch the second half the same way.
