Shadowplay pattern...
Has anyone made the "Shadowplay" pattern by Laura Blanchard? Its a tumbling block type design and says its done using 'square in a square' technique. Looks really nice. but wondering how it makes up? Don't understand from the picture how S in a S would work.
Thanks!!
Thanks!!

Janice Jamison developed an easy way to cut and sew square in a square - I believe that the square in a square come from Maxine Rosenthal & Joy Pelzmann's "One Block Wonder encore!" book. Look up both Janice and the book on the web.

This might help you envision it. It's all in how you color the square in a square blocks, and then you line them up so that one block's edge is at the middle of the block above.

Thanks, dunster! Wow, with all the matching of intersection, etc, think I'd just settle for "Y" seams!!
