I love your choices of colors. Very pretty!! I always have someone machine quilt mine. If I were going to do it myself, I'd do stitch in the ditch along the seam lines tho.

I love the look of Baptist Fans on a log cabin quilt.
I also like the look of feathers or leaves on the light paths and SID or some straight line quilting on the dark paths.
I happen to be quilting hearts on a strange little log cabin quilt today. It is a banner for the nursing school of the University of Pennsylvania. It's embroidered with their school motto: "Penn Nursing: Care to Change the World." Hearts seemed appropriate.

I hand quilted my log cabin by simply going around each square of the block in the ditch. My blocks were finished at 4 inches and the in the ditch stitching looked great when I got it done. You could do the same thing by machine. Its a beautiful quilt. Log Cabin is one of my favorite blocks.
