Singer 201 darning foot
#1
Next question as I try to do free motion quilting on my "new" 201. I've dropped the feed dogs, but my Janome darning foot, which I've used successfully with my Featherweight, doesn't have enough clearance on the 201: it's resting too firmly on my quilt sandwich, which then won't move freely. The 201 manual talks about adjusting the pressure as you attach the foot: don't think I can do that with the Janome one. What darning foot do others use with the 201, please?

You unscrew the pressure screw on the top of the machine to decrease presser on the presser foot. (counterclockwise)
You may have to remove all or nearly all of the pressure in order to allow the quilt sandwich to move freely between stitches.
