Most definitely make reservations, Sisters is a small town of about 1000 people. When I went, we stayed in Bend OR, at a wonderful place right on the river. If you can get a bus trip into the town it works well, because parking can be very limited. It was 106 degrees when I went and long lines everywhere. It was great fun, so many beautiful quilts to see the heat was a royal pain, but I am still so happy I was able to go. My friends took a bus tour in from Portland. I was coming down from Yakima WA and wanted to spend the time in area.

It is a great quilt show in a beautiful part of the country. It is amazing the places they find to hang quilts!! I went in 2009 and once many years ago. In 2009 I kept asking my dh about going, and he kept avoiding the subject. About 2 weeks before the show he said "let's go"! Well.....I knew what he didn't....about 10,000 people go to that show! We live about 15 hours away so we did need a hotel. We did, after many hours of searching online, find a hotel at the last minute, and it was a very good deal, but don't count on it. The advice about not driving into Sisters from nearby towns, is good advice, if you can take a bus, do it.
