sizzix

I finally used my sizzix big shot to cut out some appliques for my baby's birthday dress. They came out really nice. Just had to share. I'm thinking of doing some table runners come spring using the applique.

I have the big kick sizzix and I love it......especially for applique.....this week Iam going to do some xmas trees, snowmen and make some mug rugs for xmas gifts......and I did a small quilt or mini quilt I guess with the snowmen but Iam not finished but wanted to say before cutting I put fuseble web on the fabric and then all I had to do was iron on fabric, saves so much time and I cut 3 at a time amazing.......Trish

Sounds wonderful! I am thinking about getting the Sizzix Vagabond for Christmas. Not sure how to select the dies, store the dies, not waste money on dies.
I have a bad shoulder that will not be getting better the button to press rather than a crank to turn intrigues me, but I have not seen the machine in a store yet -- only online. I want to see a demo live, before spending that kind of $$$$.

Hi Gin..I havent seen that one either?...is this a new item from sizzix?
Maybe you tube might have a demo did you check?
Mine only cost me $ 50.00 I had a coupon from Joann's and I got a few dies that day...so much cheaper then the accuquilt.....dont get me wrong I would love to have the accuquilt but I use mine for applique so the sizzix works just like the accuquilt I just wish the dies were a little larger but Iam sure that will be something sizzix will work on eventually....Trish

I bought the regular (at least I guess that's what it is) Sizzix years ago for use in scrapbooking. I have been wondering if I could use it on fabric or does it have to be one of the newer machines?
Anyone know about this?

Shari.....which one do you have?......they have the big kick, which is what I have....then they have the big shot which is the largest.....but what Ive been told is they all cut fabric as well as paper etc......I use it for applique and I cut up to 4 pieces at a time with fuseable web on the back of fabric...and after I cut I then iron it to the project that Iam doing and do a blanket stitch or zig zag.....Trish
