Most people put a warped cutting and back in the sun on a very flat surface (like cement) for a while until the matt relaxes. If the warp is really bad, they put some weight on top. Since the sun is blazing hot were you are, I would try it for an hour and then check on it.

I have a small cutting board that got a little warped on one side. I put it on a flat surface and put heavy things on top of it for a while.. Most of the warp is gone now and what little is left doesn't affect the cutting.

You can cut out the warp and make smaller mats. The only real fix is to buy a new one. I had one warp from sun shinning through a window on it and it was laying flat on a table.
